The Jourmal of Jaffna Science Association Journal (JJSA), an official publication of the Jaffna Science Association, Sri Lanka, comprises a serious effort to strengthen multi- and inter-disciplinary research competencies. It is a double-blind peer reviewed journal that aims to create a strong platform for researchers to publish original and quality research, and strictly adheres to publication ethics.


The JJSA accepts lead articles, original research articles, review articles, short communications, case studies, book reviews and commentaries in pure, applied, health and social sciences (including humanities) for publication. Articles on exploratory, empirical and conceptual work will also be entertained.

Frequency of Publication

The JJSA is a peer reviewed open access e-journal published biannually. 

The Publisher

The Jaffna Science Association (JSA) was founded in 1991 by the academics of the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka to disseminate knowledge gained through research. Amid the several activities of JSA, it has also the mandate to publish a research journal to promote research of global standing in its four sections, namely pure sciences, applied sciences, health sciences and social sciences.
